Windows Power Toys ist für mich das beste Tool für Webdesign, dass ich bis jetzt gefunden habe. Ich benutze es täglich mehrmals und es ist fester Bestandteil von allen meinen Arbeitsprozessen. Das Beste an der Sache ist, das Tool ist Open Source und komplett kostenfrei. Es gibt auch keine versteckten Kosten und hat trotzdem sehr besondere Funktionen.

Aber kommen wir zu den Funktionen, die es so besonders macht.

Nummer Eins: Der Text-Extraktor

Der Text-Extraktor ist meine absolute Lieblingsfunktion. Mit der kann man einen Bereich auf dem Bildschirm markieren und dann wird mittels OCR (Optical character recognition) der Text aus dem Bereich quasi herausgelesen und in die Zwischenablage kopiert. Es ist unglaublich nützlich!

Wenn man jetzt zum Beispiel ein Foto mit Text hat oder ein Screenshot zugeschickt bekommt, wo man den Text rauskopieren muss, dann kann man einfach den Shortcut: Windows-Taste + Shift + T benutzen und dann kann man ohne Probleme den Text aus dem Foto rauskopieren, genau wie ein klassischer Copy-and-paste, als ob es richtiger Text wäre und dann direkt eine Sekunde später irgendwo einfügen.

Als Beispiel mal ein Foto von Unsplash. Jetzt kann ich einfach Windows-Taste + Shift + T drücken, dann ein Rechteck über das Bild ziehen und schon hab ich den gesamten Text kopiert.

Und hier kommt der Text, hat nicht mal eine Sekunde gedauert.

Das ist nur eins der Funktionen von PowerToys, es hat noch eine ganze Reihe davon. Als Beispiel die Liste der Funktionen, die ich fast täglich benutze:

1. Image Resizer (Mit Rechtsklick Bilder in großen Mengen skalieren)
2. Color Picker (Nimmt die Farbe egal von wo auf dem Bildschirm mit einem Klick)
3. Always on Top (Fixiert ein Fenster an der vordersten Ebene, sodass es nicht hinter andere Fenster verschwinden kann. Super, wenn man nur einen Bildschirm hat).
4. Awake (Verhindert das Stand-by bei Bedarf mit einem Klick)

Das sind nur ein paar davon, es hat noch mehr richtig fortgeschrittene Funktionen. Wirklich ein Muss für jeden Webdesigner, damit spart man sich unglaublich viel Zeit und Geld. Mein absolutes Lieblingstool.
